Large bare walls can be additionally spruced up by hanging a variety of objects like photo frames, paintings and souvenirs from your travels. Choose pictures that go with the mood of the overall room and gaudy frames will not stand out on a heavily textured wall.

If your room is small, use mirrors as they tend to give an illusion of more space. Select a mirror frame that contrasts your wall if you have a large room or one that blends in with your wall for a smaller room. Creepers and other colourful wall plants are also an option if you have a green thumb.
